Mitchell Vito Helson

In pursuit of my combined passions for film, photography, style, and craftsmanship, I have spent my adult life working intimately with artisans of the highest degree documenting them behind the lens, and learning from them with a needle in my hand.

I started my journey into this profession intent on budding a career in the sartorial arts.  My interest in bespoke tailoring lead me to train under 2012 Golden Shears winner Rory Duffy while living on his family farm in Monaghan, Ireland.

After this, I continued on to train under Savile Row tailors in London where I split my time interning under coat maker Emma Martin in the basement of Savile Row tailoring house Dege & Skinner, and taking classes at the London Academy of Bespoke.

After months of training, I found a position where I could combine my love for this world and my love for photography at another Savile Row tailoring house called Cad & The Dandy. They quickly took me under their wing and I began learning their front of house procedures while taking over content creation for the company’s London and US based social media platforms. This was the start of my career as a fashion photographer. 

   I have shot fashion shows and clothing brands internationally, and I have been published in magazines across the globe.

I have also met many impressive and delightful people along the way that I cherish and are happy to continue to work with and call friends.
